Recommended for Ages 6-8

This class will have a series of hands-on projects for kids to create, covering a variety of engineering concepts from building a pinball machine to learning how magic tricks work (examples of previous crates). The first week we will introduce a new Kiwi Crate and briefly discuss related concepts. We will go through the projects together, with each student completing their own. There will be some discussions and related videos in class, but there are also further activities suggested in each crate (which will not have time to go through, so feel free to try them at home). The second week they will finish the project(s), and make modifications/improvements with available time. Every two weeks we will start a new crate, with a different theme, and students will take their previous crate home. We will also incorporate some projects using other resources, including a mouse-trap car, an erupting volcano, and a motors & generators kit.
