Recommended for Ages 9-12
This class will have a series of hands-on projects for kids to create — from making slime to building a catapult (examples of previous crates). Using Tinker Crates students will explore electronics, physics, and engineering. The first week we will introduce a new crate and briefly discuss related concepts. We will go through the projects together, with each student completing their own. There will be some discussions and related videos in class, but there are also further activities suggested in each crate (we will not have time to go through all of them, so feel free to try some on your own). The second week they will finish the project(s), and make modifications/improvements with available time. Every two weeks we will start a new crate, with a different theme. We will also complete a series of extra projects with a nanotechnology kit.
